巷弄之間,禪風入韻
The rhythm of Zen style appears in the alley.

The Formosa Boulevard in Kaohsiung is reputed to be one of the 8 Elegant Global Subway Stations and it is by a prominent Japanese architect-Takamatsu Shin. Follow the master’s trace back to Taichung; there’s an old building of Zen style aged over forty years. Although it hides in the alley, people still can find this modern-classic-Japanese style building at a glance. The grille crisscrossed by a row of jet-black metal and logs create an atmosphere of modern Japanese-style restaurant, and this is the outward appearance of Kiyomi Japanese restaurant.
高雄的美麗島站被譽為「全球 8 大最美地鐵站」,出自於日本國寶建築師 - 高松伸之手,循著大師的設計軌跡回到大台中的巷弄,一棟超過40年的老房禪風入韻,雖隱藏在民宅之中,這棟由古典與時尚共構的日式建築仍一眼就被發現,一排墨黑金屬與原木交錯的隔柵,勾勒出現代日本料亭的氛圍,是清美日本割烹料理的門面。
 
Behind the grille, people can enjoy the landscape and garden view. In the small but beautiful atrium, there’s a Japanese Karesansui Gardening. With stacked stones, it conveys the image of mountain; with white sand on the floor, it conveys the image of river, straight or crooked. It is endless straight like the river flowing from near to far; it is whirling crooked like the ripple spreading from inside out. The fresh green pines stand straightly in the atrium. Sometimes, they are surrounded by spray, and this makes Japanese Karesansui Gardening appear indistinctly. Being here is like being in a wonderland.
隔柵內,觀山、觀水、觀庭園,小巧靜謐的中庭,置入日式傳統且孕涵禪意的枯山水造景,疊放有致的石塊呈現山的形狀;鋪地的白砂石則表現了水的意象,或直或曲,直的無盡,如江河由近至遠;曲的迴旋,如漣漪由內向外,勾劃出水流動時的線條。翠綠的松柏筆挺的佇立其中,時而被噴水霧環繞,白濛濛的霧氣瀰漫,枯山水若隱若現,宛如仙境,正是日式山水畫回歸自然的表現。
 
Besides the building itself, the architect puts effort into making it full of Japanese atmosphere and Japanese cultures. At the entrance of restaurant, there’s a century pot suspended and with the candlelight shining in the hibachi made of stones, it is like the scene of brewing a pot of tea and giving it to the visitors coming from afar .
除了建築本體外,更傾力注入日式氛圍的營造及文化涵養,餐廳入口處懸吊著一只百年古壺,壺下石頭打造的火缽內燭光映照,彷彿正在沏著茶,奉給遠道而來的訪客。
 
The design of sunken bar on the first floor makes gourmands able to see the food manufacturing process, and this can narrow the distance between chefs and diners. The dining table is made of the log from Vietnam. After precisely cutting and polishing, it retains the original color and texture of log. The inscription “ Kiyomi ” on the wall is named after the parents of Ming-jen, Chen (manager of Power Home Construction), and inscribed by Takamatsu Shin. It uses the logs and glass to divide the box area on the second floor and this design can not only break down the feelings of alienation which enclosed wall gives customers but also maintain the spatial hierarchy and privacy. It is the complementary between these two materials that makes the log’s color more pastel against the jet-black iron; also, the jet-black color makes people feel calm. It is the fusion of ancient Kyoto style and modern Japanese style.

一樓吧檯降板的設計,讓饕客能一睹食材的製作過程,拉近與客人間的距離,餐桌為來自越南的原木,一體成形,保留了木頭的原色和層次;牆壁上「清美」的字畫,取自寶鴻清美陳明仁總經理雙親之名,由高松伸親筆提字。二樓包廂區使用原木、黑金屬及玻璃分隔空間,打破封閉牆面給人的藩籬感,同時保有空間的層次與隱密性,運用材質間的互補性,讓木的質感在墨黑鐵件的襯托下,更顯溫潤柔和;而墨黑則更顯沉穩優雅,融合了古代京都風與現代和風的氛圍。

The dinner sets in this restaurant is Japanese high quality tableware“NARUMI.”There’s forty-seven percent of bone meal added in the porcelain clay. The delicate and smooth appearance of tableware is elegant ivory and with graceful patterns setting off, it takes us to experience the Japanese food culture. Take a visit to Kiyomi Japanese restaurant, and feels the fascination of Zen-style architecture.
餐廳內全套食器皆為日本頂級的「NARUMI鳴海骨瓷」,瓷土中加入47%的骨粉,細緻光滑的表面呈現優雅的象牙色,典雅含蓄的花紋加以襯托,帶我們從五感體驗精緻的和食文化,走訪一趟清美日本割烹料理,品嘗富饒於建築中的禪風魅力。
