體認日本柳宗理大師的手感溫度

The retrospective exhibition of Japanese industrial design master Sori Yanagi displayed in Taiwan Design Museum, and the exhibits included elephant stool, butterfly stool, tableware made of stainless steel, iron and porcelain. Besides these classical works, there were pictures of drinking fountain, footbridge, mobile roadside kiosk and so on. It is the design aesthetics of master Sori Yanagi that makes people thought-provoking.
日本工業設計巨匠柳宗理回顧展巡迴至台灣設計館中盛大展出，展出作品除了象腳椅、蝴蝶椅等經典椅子設計，深受台人喜愛的不鏽鋼、鐵器與瓷器餐具，還包括了公共飲水機、天橋、移動式的路邊雜貨亭等多樣實體創作，柳宗理大師的工藝設計美學，耐人尋味。

Sori Yanagi adheres to the hand model making, so he can feel and adjust the shape of model with all his heart. In addition, “handmade” has always been the way of his design. In order to enhance the practicability of each utensil, every work needs inspecting and adjusting over and over again from prototype to finished product. Removing the excess design, Sori Yanagi’s works emphasize on returning to the purity; also, with his handmade techniques, he creates the works which meet the expectations of everyone.
堅持以手製作模型，慢慢感受，探索最理想的器物樣貌，「手作」一直是柳宗理的設計之道。每件作品從雛型到成品，都是經過反覆琢磨調整，器物的實用性提高，便能得到所謂的「用之美」。去除多餘的設計，作品強調回歸純粹的感官需求，能完整地藉由手的感受做出充份符合期待的作品，完整體現一代大師欲傳達的細膩的溫度。

The outward appearance of butterfly stool resembles the wings of a butterfly flying in the air. It is comprised of merely two pieces of symmetrical bending plywood, a stabilizing brass rod underneath and two screws. The black handle cutlery is made of stainless steel on its front part and black birchwood material on its handle. In the exhibition, visitors also could see the manufacturing process of how the stainless steel and birchwood handle form into cutlery with exquisite techniques. Another work from master Sori Yanagi is stainless steel strainer. With detailed holes cut on the sheet of metal, people can feel the fine workmanship of mater Sori Yanagi in person.
造型正面猶如展翼飛翔的蝴蝶椅，僅用兩片彎曲對稱木材膠合板製作，座面以螺旋輔佐固定，椅腳則使用一根黃銅連結支撐張力；黑木柄餐具前端是由不鏽鋼打造，接合黑色樺木木柄，兩種看似衝突卻無違和的材質搭配，在展場還能看見製造步驟的分解，一窺木製把柄與不鏽鋼打磨合體的細膩工法；而看似平凡的不鏽鋼濾網，由整片金屬板打洞製成的細節處理，極細的孔洞濾水徹底，親自感受職人工匠的手作質感。
