Beautiful Touch from the Book in the Bottle of Memories
Launched by “Beautiful Touch,” the “Dandelion Reading Feasts Project” has been continuously promoted in Taichung City. The meaning of this project lies in the provision of reading feasts at parks for each of us to read our favorite books. Free book exchanges with other book lovers are also possible at the feasts to encourage sharing via reading.
Bring unknown expectations to life
With high expectations, “the Book in the Bottle” connects different generations and conveys an inter-disciplinary message to extend the main design concept. POSAMOS starting with hope and environmental protection has recycled PE bottles in the shape of an arch, symbolizing the knowledge tunnel, crossing Taichung City. Randomly, representative stories from 29 administrative districts are added and written on sheets that are rolled up to put inside the bottles. This shows that knowledge is acquired from every part of life and shall be accessible.
An outdoor knowledge bank filled with love
According to Designer King Wang of POSAMO, “We felt touched when invited by the convener of the Project of Reading Feasts, Designer Chang Ching-ping. We then immediately mobilized everyone to brainstorm for the Project. This shall not be an elegant and luxurious tailor-made product but it shall present the simplest and impressive attitude and concept towards life. ‘Environmental protection’ shall be practiced daily and this is what designers need to strive for.”The Project of Reading Feasts at the Park demonstrates an outdoor knowledge bank filled with love.
