Fifty groups of imported logs with different colors and grain turned into pairs of clogs with the artist exquisite technique. Exposed the logs under the sun for about one week in order to evaporate the excess moisture from logs and this process could extend the life of artwork; later, with the hammer beating and planer tools carving on them, the artist changed the logs into pairs of clogs. In addition, the mater skipped the polishing process to leave the original colors and grain on the clogs. This gives the artwork a spirit of “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” and makes the artwork not just be a decoration but a cultural asset recording history.
